Glad-U-See

Mat 13:33 Another parable spake Yeshua unto them, “The Kingdom of YHVH in Israel (2Chr 13:8, see Sidebar to the right) is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened (vivified)”.

This is another parable about the regathering of the Lost Sheep of the House of Israel, which had been scattered to three places: Judea, Samaria, and the world.

Act 1:8 Ye shall receive power (the ability to discover the lost tribes of Israel), when the essential anointing is come upon you; and ye shall be my witnesses...

The first measure of meal was Judea.

Joh 21:15 Yeshua saith to Shimon Kefa, “Shimon, son of Jonah, love thou me more than these”? He saith unto him, “Yea, Adoneinu; thou know that I love thee”. He saith unto him, “Feed my lambs”.

The first place the House of Israel scattered was into Judea. The "lambs" were a portion of the northern ten tribes of Israel, who scampered to Judea after the split of Solomon's kingdom, around 926 B.C.E. (1Kin 11:29-32).

The second measure of meal was Samaria.

Joh 21:16 He saith to him again the second time, “Shimon, son of Jonah, love thou me”? He saith unto him, “Yea, Adoneinu; thou know that I love thee”. He saith unto him, “Feed my ewes (from the Aramaic Peshitta)".

The second place they scattered was within their own country. The "ewes" are the Samaritans. After conquering Israel (around 720 B.C.E.), the Assyrians displaced the ten tribes of Israel and populated their suburbs with captives from other countries; however a remnant of Israelites were left in the agricultural areas and the fishing villages on the outskirts of the cities (2Kin 17:23-24).

The NIV Study Bible makes this observation about Assyrian conquests, "A close examination of Assyrian records reveals agricultural workers were deliberately left to care for the crops",

(The matriarch of the Samaritans is Rachel, whose name means "ewe").

The third meaure of meal was the uttermost part of the earth.

Joh 21:17 He saith unto him the third time, “Shimon, son of Jonah, love thou me”? Kefa was grieved because he said unto him the third time, “Lovest thou me”? And he said unto him, “Adoneinu, thou know all things; thou know that I love thee”. Yeshua saith unto him, “Feed my sheep”.

The third place Israel scattered was into every nation of the world: “For thus saith Adonai YHVH, Behold I, indeed I, will both search my sheep, even seek them out. As a shepherd seeks out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day. And I will bring them out from the nations, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land, and feed them upon the mountains of Israel by the rivers, and in all the inhabited places of the land". (Eze 34:11-13).
